Yi is one of the proud founders of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance (G20 YEA), which is a collective of leading, entrepreneurially-minded organisations representing the G20 countries, who seek to promote youth entrepreneurship as a powerful driver of economic renewal, job creation, innovation and social change. The Alliance was founded as a movement to engage the G20 leaders in the cause of youth entrepreneurship, share information across borders, affect positive policy change and create a global network of young entrepreneur advocates while building a collaborative entrepreneurial environment worldwide. The G20 YEA provides to the G20 political leaders, best practices in promoting youth entrepreneurship through policy recommendations and sharing best practices in the areas of access to funding, coordinating support initiatives, enhancing the entrepreneurship culture, regulation & taxation, and education & training. The G20 YEA network connects approximately 5,00,000 young entrepreneurs worldwide.
Yi created History on 16 November 2011 in successfully bringing together the best youth organisations in the region to form the first ever advocacy and mentorship network in the Commonwealth Asia Region, in partnership with the Commonwealth Youth Programme Asia Centre, Chandigarh. Called the Commonwealth Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs Asia Pacific (CAYE), it is a network of young entrepreneurs and the organisations that support them, in the Commonwealth countries in the Asia region. CAYE seeks to champion the cause of young entrepreneurs at the local, national, regional and international level, through its engagement with governments, the media, the public, and other relevant stakeholders. This alliance has representatives from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei-Darussalam. When it was formed, it was known as the Commonwealth Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE), but owing to its success, three other alliances of Commonwealth countries were also formed subsequently, namely the CAYE - Caribbean & Canada, CAYE - East Africa, and CAYE - Southern Africa.
